Easy Stained Glass!
Subject: Art
(This idea was contributed by Elise Dixon)
Age Range: 5 to 11

Give each child:

Show children how to fold and cut a "snowflake" from the paper circle- the older the children, the more elaborate it can be. Keep this "window" safe, then create the stained glass.

Paint a watered-down glue mix onto the poly pocket and begin placing small pieces of coloured tissue onto the surface. Overlap edges by a few mm. Paint some more glue mix over the top. Carry on until you have an area of coloured tissue pieces big enough to cover all of the black paper snowflake.

Allow the tissue to dry fully, then peel it all off the poly pocket (great fun!) - the back of the piece will have a lovely shine from the glue, and being against the plastic of the poly pocket!

Trim and glue the tissue, shiny side up, to the back of the snowflake, and display them in a window. Stunning!!!
